Currently sitting in a Warsaw bus station. It's disgusting. The pigeons fly into the building and walk around. When you look up at the ceiling you can see the residue of years worth of pigeon shit nets. And outside looks like it's been ransacked by pirates. HOwever it's just a bunch of stalls waiting to be set up. Hahaha theres a stupid pigeon walking in front of me with something stuck to its foot and.....oh now its climbing the stairs. Gotta go catch my bus. Ha just kidding. Wow I'm so foreign. Oh yah I'm going to Lublin. I'm slagging in my writing. Gosh Hayely step up. Stupid pigeon just came percariously close to my foot. It flew up. I flinched. I'm a loser........The entire station thinks I'm a loser. As if you didn't know already hey? Yes I am wrting more than one page. Settle down. Settle down. SETTLE DOWN. There. Isn't that better? Now if you must know why I'm writing more than one page it is because my music player died on me. I could buy all kinds of things at this place. Like jackets, bags, children's clothes, lingerie. Oh yah that's a good conversation in the making..........

Hahahhaha wonderful indeed. And yes I know I spelt neglijay horribly wrong but I'm ok with that. Currently chillaxing to the awful techno guy behind me is listening to. I mean I enjoy techno but this is crap. Techno is big here. What I find humorous is that even though old folks listen to it

I don't know what day it is anymore. You can only count from Sunday for so long. It is raining here. It's been rainy for quite a while now. It hasn't been really nice since Monday. Hopefully it won't be so drab. I couldn't sleep last night. Something about Gizycko I didn't know....soldiers. So far I've seen 2 large army compounds. One I must walk by to go to school, the other is by where the Rotary meetings are held. It's strange to me but no one else seems to notice them go marching by. It's odd. The windows here are so cool. I'll take pictures to show you. I love them. I will have them in my house.

August 27

Lately I have become very self-concious about swallowing. For some reason I think I'm swallowing very loudly and it makes me nervous. Sometimes the tea or whatever it is just sits in my mouth because I'm afaid to swallow it. It makes me very uncomfortable. Chewing also is very hard to do as I think everyone can hear it. I'm freaking out here! It takes forever to eat because I'm trying not to be loud. ARRGH! What is my problem?!? And I am not joking around here. I'm literally scared to eat or drink. Hopefully it will go away or I may starve...My hair smells delicious.

August 25

I am sitting on my bed, in my room, in a house, in Giżycko, in Mazury, in Poland, in Europe! I'm so excited. The flights went good. I got to Warsaw on the 24. After a bit of a kerfuffle I met my host family. They are very nice. They took me shopping in Warsaw. That was fun. Then after a 4 hour drive here ( during which I slept as I did not sleep on the planes) we arrived. Today Ola and I walked to main street Gizycko...much different than N.B. She spontaneously decided to get her nose peirced so we did that. We went and saw where she and her boyfriend work. We went for a bike ride along the lake and saw the marina. GORGEOUS! I should email Tim. Oh and everyone else basically. hahaha tomorrow. Unless I go sailing! woah!

August 23

Currently on the plane from Calgary to Frankfurt. The sun is setting and I must say...it's possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Now if I didn't have a headache, in turbulance and boiling hot, this would be perfect. I could also do without the smelly man sitting beside me. Hardest thing I've ever had to do...saying goodbye to my parents. Wow. I looked outside and it is so much darker than when I last looked out about 5 minutes ago. I am currently above the very tip of Greenland right now. Travelling at 1116 km/h right now at 35000 feet. There is only one star that I can see. I really have to pee but smelly man is sleeping and I don't want to wake him. Only 4:17 hours away from Frankfurt. Then I still have one more plane. Oh sweet! I see an iceberg! Gunna try to sleep I guess.

August 22

End of my last day in Canada. I spent it at West Edmonton Mall with my fam. We went in the water world place. That was a great time. We also went shopping. I went into this one store and was browsing. Suddenly this snotty girl came up behind me and said "I'm gunna have to put your backpack behind the counter." I replied with " I'd rather leave." and promptly left the store. Oh ho ho ho I'm such a foolish girl. I think it was due to my unstraighten hair that I was singled out. Everyone had straight hair there, I felt like some monster from the depths. Tehehe. I was also not wearing Hollister or A&F.

August 21

Now it is night. I am currently in the Niskui Inn. It smells strongly of cigarettes and death. My bed sheet has only 5 burn holes in it...that I've found. My luggage weighs too much. Therefore I must forfeit some of my stuff. A tragedy indeed as I've already hauled it all to Edmonton and it must now be taken home. But I don't know what to take out....I guess I am going shopping in West Ed tomorrow and will need room for new clothes. I'm missing two of my rechargable batteries. Time to fall into a deep, chlorine and bleach induced sleep. Hooray!

August 21

Ahh....nothing like a day of packing for a year and goodbyes to bum you out. Well I'm baically all packed, just need a few clothes, hygenical products, makeup and other random things to pack. Also a few tasks I gotta perform before I blow this joint. Look at me go with my phrases. Last night in my dark, windowless cave of a room. I shall miss your dark, dank dugeon like warmth. And poor dear bed....you have been like a cushiony friend to me. What with your mattress and all, I suppose you would be. OMG! It's 1:11! What a miraculous discovery! My mind is a flurry of activity! Well time for one final hurrah with my bed before I go. Nite.

August 20

I have two slivers in my hand...I'm gunna get them out. All good. It is barely the 20th it's 1:21, just chillaxing to Paul McCartney. I still have to start packing. Note to self: PACK!
Okay well tomorrow, I mean today I have to pack. I have upgraded my list a bit. I hate outlines. Thus why I fail at remembering stuff. Unless it is stuff of little importance such as where and who I got everything in my room from. Well that might be seen as important to some people....like me. Oh Freddie how true it is. It is crazy. This may be the single most boring thing ever written. Dickens would be ashamed to have ever touched a piece of paper knowing that I one day would put pen to paper.

August 18

Ok well technically I'm not in Poland yet but I will be in 4 days + a few hours and minutes. I have yet to start packing. I probably should..........I didn't. Now it is the 19th and although I should've started a new entry, I didn't feel the need to. Okay enough of my nonsense ramblings, let's get down to busines...What business? Does business have two s's? Hmm......I fly out of Edmonton at 9 in the morning. However as I live in North Battleford it's necessary that I leave the day before. However my family is going up on Thursday afternoon. (or so the plan goes...I get old nothing) So really right now I am writing in the first wee hours of my 3rd last day at home...Crazy.

No News Yet...........

Well it's been over a month, now almost two, but still no word on which country I'm going to. They did call last week and said that I have to meet with the Regional people, so that they can decide what country I will be going to. When they called I was so excited, then it was just this. I was actually pretty frustrated. I don't have the patience for this kind of thing. I need a quick response. Well back to waiting...........

Waiting...

I sent in my form two weeks ago. The form that will tell me which country I will be going to. So now I just have to wait for them to call me. The phone is my enemy. Every time it rings I think it's for me, but nope it's for my dad. I have too little patience for this suspense.

I'm pretty excited because I get to go on an exchange to another country next year. FOR A WHOLE YEAR! And this blog will be just one of my ways to keep in touch back home. Enjoy.
